Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about size, materials, small packs, bulk quotes, shipping, and support. Use this page to remove buying friction, not create more of it.
Still not sure?
Start with the guide pages first. If your application is still uncertain, send a quote request before you guess and order the wrong part.
Find the right size
Measure ID and CS first, then move into exact-size shopping.
Compare materials
Use NBR, EPDM, FKM, and Silicone guidance before you buy.
Check compatibility
Quickly narrow common media before moving to a quote.
Request bulk help
Use quote for 100+ pcs, custom sizes, drawings, or special compounds.
Size & Fit
Questions that help customers measure correctly, match the right size faster, and avoid ordering the wrong part.
Start with ID and CS. If you already know the standard number, that helps too. When in doubt, use the measurement guide first, then move into the matching product page or send a quote request if you still are not certain.
Outside diameter can help as a check, but it is usually not the best starting point. Try to measure inner diameter and cross section first. If you only have OD, use the size chart guide and include your measurement in a quote request if the match is unclear.
We recommend measuring and searching in millimeters first because it is clearer for exact size matching. If you already know an inch size or a standard reference, read the metric vs AS568 guide to narrow the match faster.
If the exact size is not available in small packs, use the Bulk Quote page. Include your ID, CS, material, hardness if known, and target quantity. If you have a drawing or photo, attach it so we can review it faster.
Materials & Compatibility
Questions that help buyers compare common elastomers, avoid obvious mistakes, and choose a better starting material.
The main storefront materials are NBR, EPDM, FKM, and Silicone. These cover the most common repair, maintenance, and small-batch buying needs. Start with the Material Guide. If you need a special compound or higher-performance material, use the quote page instead of the normal cart flow.
For many oil and hydraulic uses, start with NBR. For water, steam, and weather exposure, start with EPDM. For heat, fuel, and stronger chemicals, start with FKM. For flexibility and wide temperature range, start with Silicone. If the media is uncertain, check Material Guide and Chemical Compatibility first.
No, not usually. Silicone is useful for flexibility and temperature range, but it is not the default choice for many fuels and oils. If fuel is part of the application, compare NBR vs FKM first.
Use the Chemical Compatibility page as a quick guide to narrow the shortlist. It is not a final engineering approval. Temperature, concentration, pressure, motion, and actual media all matter, so use a quote request when the application is critical or uncertain.
Orders, Shipping & Support
Questions that remove hesitation around small packs, bulk orders, custom requests, and reply speed.
Yes. Small packs are designed for direct storefront purchase and faster decision-making. If the size and material are standard and listed on the product page, go to Shop Small Packs without using the quote flow.
Yes. Standard bulk MOQ starts at 100 pcs. Use the Bulk Quote page for larger quantities, custom sizes, special compounds, drawings, or any request that does not fit the normal small-pack storefront flow.
Yes. Custom sizes and drawing-based projects should go through the Bulk Quote page instead of the normal cart flow. Give as much information as you can, including size, material, quantity, and application notes.
The current target is within 24 hours. Include size, material, hardness if known, quantity, and application details so we can review faster and reduce follow-up questions.
Still need help?
If you are between materials, unsure about the size, or ordering for a real application with risk, do not guess. Use the guides first, then contact support or request a quote.
