Buyers often use “Viton O-ring” as a search term for FKM seals, but the terms are not automatically interchangeable: a generic FKM product should only be represented as Viton-branded material when that brand and grade are documented for the exact product.

Viton and FKM: what is the difference?

FKM is a fluoroelastomer material-family designation. Viton™ is a Chemours brand covering several fluoroelastomer families and grades. Those grades have different fluid resistance, processing, and low-temperature characteristics.
