Molded rings

Pressed in a mold as one seamless piece. Preferred for dynamic seals and critical sealing surfaces. New sizes may need tooling, so small quantities cost more per piece.

Spliced rings

Extruded cord cut to length and vulcanized at the joint. No tooling, practical for large diameters and short runs; best suited to static seals.

What is the minimum quantity for a custom O-ring?

It depends on the construction and material. Spliced rings can be made in very small quantities; molded rings in a new size usually need a larger run to cover tooling. The offer states the MOQ before you commit.

Can you match a ring I only have as a sample?

Yes. Tick “I don’t know the exact size”, describe the part and attach photos or a drawing on the next page. Used rings shrink, swell or flatten, so we confirm the nominal size with you before production.

How large can a custom O-ring be?

Large diameters are usually made as spliced rings from cord, so the practical limit is set by the cross section and handling rather than a mold. Send the size and we confirm the options.

Do custom rings come with documents?

Tell us what your application requires, such as food-contact or potable-water documentation. We confirm what can be supplied for the chosen compound before you order; nothing is assumed.
